SMS Provider Setup
Send SMS appointment reminders and notifications to your customers via Twilio. SMS notifications require a Resrvy subscription with the SMS Notifications feature enabled.
Prerequisites
Section titled “Prerequisites”- A Twilio account (free trial or paid)
- A Twilio phone number capable of sending SMS
- A Resrvy subscription with SMS Notifications enabled
Connecting Twilio
Section titled “Connecting Twilio”Step 1: Enable SMS Notifications
Section titled “Step 1: Enable SMS Notifications”- Go to Calendar Settings > SMS Integration
- Toggle on Enable SMS notifications for this calendar
Step 2: Enter Your Credentials
Section titled “Step 2: Enter Your Credentials”You need three values from your Twilio Console:

Step 3: Test the Connection
Section titled “Step 3: Test the Connection”- Click Test Connection
- Resrvy verifies your credentials against the Twilio API
- If successful, the status changes to Connected
- If verification fails, check that your credentials are correct
Step 4: Save Settings
Section titled “Step 4: Save Settings”Click Save SMS Settings to store your configuration. The Auth Token is encrypted before storage.
What Gets Sent
Section titled “What Gets Sent”Once connected, SMS notifications are sent for:
- Appointment reminders (based on your reminder timing settings)
- Appointment confirmations
- Cancellation notifications
Disconnecting Twilio
Section titled “Disconnecting Twilio”- Go to Calendar Settings > SMS Integration
- Click Disconnect Twilio
- All stored credentials (Account SID, Auth Token, Phone Number) are removed
You can also disable SMS notifications by toggling off the switch without disconnecting. This preserves your credentials but stops sending messages.
Credential Validation
Section titled “Credential Validation”The form validates your credentials before saving:
- Account SID must start with
AC - Auth Token must be at least 32 characters
- Phone Number must start with
+and include a country code
Troubleshooting
Section titled “Troubleshooting””Test Connection” fails
Section titled “”Test Connection” fails”- Verify your Account SID and Auth Token are copied correctly from the Twilio Console
- Check that your Twilio account is active (not suspended)
- If using a trial account, ensure it has not expired
SMS not being received
Section titled “SMS not being received”- Verify the Twilio Phone Number is SMS-capable (check in Twilio Console > Phone Numbers)
- Check that the recipient’s phone number includes a country code
- Review your Twilio message logs at twilio.com/console/sms/logs for delivery errors
- Trial accounts can only send to verified phone numbers

Section titled “”Account SID should start with AC” error”- Ensure you copied the Account SID (not the Auth Token or API Key SID)
- The SID is displayed on the main Twilio Console dashboard page
